How to Use Hashtag Filters to Create Custom Galleries
With hashtag filters, you can easily create multiple galleries to showcase specific content across your website or landing pages. Each gallery can have its own unique layout and design, allowing you to highlight exactly what you want—whether it’s a collection, user-generated content, or influencer campaigns.
Step 1:
Tag Your Content with Hashtags
Use hashtags in your caption text to mark content you want to feature. For example, using the hashtag #mvinsiders in captions helps you filter and display only those posts in a specific gallery.
Repeat this step to add or remove hashtags for your selected media.
Tip: Use the Batch Hashtag feature to update multiple items at once—watch the video below for guidance.
Step 2:
Create a New Gallery or edit and existing one
1. Go to Visual Shopping > Shoppable Galleries in the main menu.
2. If creating a new gallery click Create New Gallery or follow these steps to edit an existing gallery
3. Scroll down to find the Media display rules > Filter by Hashtag option and enter your desired hashtag (e.g., #brunathelabel) to filter the gallery content.
Step 3:
Embed Your Gallery
1. Copy the embed code generated for your new gallery.
2. Paste the code into your website or landing page where you want the gallery to appear.
If you edit an existing gallery, changes will update automatically without needing to reapply the code.
Benefits of Hashtag Galleries
• Customise galleries to focus on specific themes like collections, UGC, or influencer content.
• Create multiple galleries for different sections of your site (e.g., leggings on one page, shoes on another).
• Embed relevant content on specific pages to enhance user experience.
