Sauce has the ability to track how many sales have been generated from the images on your Sauce embeds. This allows you to see which posts have performed better than others and helps identify which images have ticked the box for customers more than others.
This is the guide to adding the conversion code manually, where you'll need to copy the conversion code snipppet from Sauce, and paste it into your e-commerce platform's checkout code settings. Note that we have platform specific articles on installing your conversion code in Shopify, Wordpress, Magento and more in our help center.
1️⃣ Grab your Sauce conversion code
Head into your Sauce account, and click on 'Add tracking code', which you'll find under the Visual Shopping header.
From here, click to copy your code.
2️⃣ Install the snippet into your Store backend
Head into your Store backend, and into the Checkout Settings where you should be able to find a section for 'checkout scripts', 'web tracking code' or similar - where code snippets are accepted, to then be rendered into the 'thank you' paste of checkout, once an order has been placed.
If you are not sure where to paste the code, contact your web developer or your e-commerce platform support team for guidance or reach out to us for assistance.
Within the code, there is this instruction:
<!-- Sauce order conversion code - be sure to replace the data placeholders with the corresponding tags for your platform -->
This refers to the green text in the below image.
Again if you are unsure what this means, speak to your web developer or e-commerce platform support team for guidance.
Once the code is in place, the Order Number, Order Value and Order Currency will be sent to Sauce when you receive new orders. The information is then tracked and reported within Sauce, under Analytics.
What next?
Now your code has been added, start understanding your customers better and watch conversions start to happen! See these guides for more details about what is reported under Analytics - Impressions and Conversions
