When integrating Sauce with your Shopify store, it's essential to identify and select your primary Sauce account. This selection is particularly crucial if your Sauce account is linked to multiple Shopify stores. The primary Sauce account determines which media appears in your galleries, ensuring a seamless and consistent display across your online presence.

Why is Selecting a Primary Sauce Account Important?

  • Consistency in Media Display: Your primary Sauce account dictates the media content shown in your galleries. This selection ensures that the correct images and videos are displayed in your Shopify store using blocks, aligning with your branding and product listings.

  • Avoiding Confusion: With multiple Shopify stores linked to a single Sauce account, it becomes necessary to designate a primary account to avoid confusion and overlap of media content.

  • Streamlined Management: Selecting a primary account simplifies the management of your media content, as you'll be administering your galleries from one central Sauce account.

How to Select Your Primary Sauce Account:

  1. Log into Your Sauce Account: Start by logging into your Sauce account. Ensure you have access to all the accounts linked to your Shopify stores.

  2. Access Account Settings: Navigate to the account settings / Connected Accounts. This option is usually found in the top left user menu under your account name or in the top left corner of the dashboard.

  3. Identify Linked Shopify Stores: Within the settings, look for a section that lists your Shopify store connected to your current Sauce account. This section will provide a list of all Sauce accounts associated with your Shopify store.

  4. Select the Primary Sauce Account: Choose the account that you wish to designate as the primary one for your Shopify store. This decision should be based on which account's media gallery aligns best with the specific Shopify store's branding and product offerings.

  5. Save Changes: After selecting your primary Sauce account, ensure you save the changes by clicking on the 'Change Primary Account' button. This action will update the settings and reflect the chosen media in your Shopify store's galleries.

  6. Verify the Integration: Once you've saved the changes, visit your Shopify store to confirm that the correct media is displaying. You may need to refresh the page or clear your cache to see the updated galleries.

Addendum: Tips for Managing Multiple Sauce Accounts in Your Shopify Store

If you're utilising galleries from Sauce accounts that are not your primary one in your Shopify store, there are two effective methods to do so:

1. Using Embed Codes:

- Locate the embed code for the gallery from your non-primary Sauce account.

- Copy this code.

- In your Shopify store, navigate to the section where you want the gallery to appear.

- Paste the copied embed code as an HTML block within that section.

2. Utilising App Blocks:

- Use the app blocks feature in Shopify.

- When setting up the block, specify the 'Sauce Account ID' associated with the non-primary Sauce account.

- This method will link the gallery from the specified Sauce account to the chosen section in your Shopify store.

Locate your 'Sauce Account ID' in the Sauce backoffice under the user dropdown. Copy it and paste into Shopify's 'Sauce Account ID' field when creating a new app block to determine the gallery's media source.

Shopify customise theme settings

By employing these strategies, you can effectively manage and display galleries from multiple Sauce accounts in your Shopify store, allowing for a diverse and dynamic online storefront.
